THE COMPANY
Since 1953, Tellure Rôta has been designing and manufacturing wheels and castors for industrial, commercial, and domestic applications.
Today, the company serves more than 2,000 customers in over 70 countries.
This is made possible by the expertise of 170 employees working at the company’s 15,000 m² manufacturing facility located in Formigone, Modena, in Northern Italy.
The Tellure Rôta catalog includes a wide range of products designed to meet the most common handling requirements in the industrial, institutional, and furniture sectors.
In addition to the standard catalog range, the Tellure Rôta technical department and the “TR Lab” testing and research facility collaborate with customers to develop
customized solutions that perfectly meet specific requirements, in terms of materials, dimensions, and technical configurations.

HISTORY
In 1950, Roberto Lancelotti, the honorary chairman of Tellure Rôta, founded a small manufacturing company that, just three years later, specialized in the production of wheels and castors.
The history of Tellure Rôta is marked by a series of milestones, each representing significant advancements in continuous innovation.

Incorporation of the original sole proprietorship with headquarters in Modena
1953
Registration of the trade mark and conversion into a joint stock company
1961
First foreign customer for wheels with polyurethane covering
1962
Set-up of a laboratory for the formulation of polyurethane coverings for wheels and for products testing activities
1971
Tellure Rôta promotes the creation of a work group between European wheel manufacturers to write the first national and international legislations concerning wheels and castors.
1972
Production of 2,000 wheels/day with 100 employees
1980
Transfer to the current 10,000 m2 plant
1990
Introduction of customer relationship management system (CRM) for use by the sales force
1995
Investments in systems and automatic lines increase the production capacity up to 30,000 wheels/day, with 110 employees
1996
First wheels manufacturer to obtain ISO 9001 Quality certification
2000
Incorporation of Tellure Rôta do Brasil, based in San Paolo
2002
ISO 9001:2000 quality certification obtained in the same year as the year of publication of the Vision 2000 set of standards
2004
ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification obtained. Publication of the company's first Sustainability Report

Extension of production to incorporate automatic assembly systems in a 3,000m2 plant located alongside the headquarters

Start-up of the Lean Production project

Computerisation of logistic flow for customer order preparation with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and RF management of the warehouse via a Warehouse Management System (WMS),
